It seems not scary no.
But it contains the word wink and the letters for the word peril, so maybe I must wink before anybody will be in peril.
I haven't tried it yet though. 
Edit:
Hmmm... Periwinkle seems to be a plant, a color or some kind of mollusc.
So I guess I'm not the scary type of pirate.
