Woah, I was just going to come here and ask a question about a song, see if anyone recognized it... nice job on it, looks a lot better than the previous one.

This is the movie soundtrack:
Plunkett & Macleane

... anyway, I could put an mp3 up to download for the sole purpose of discussing it, if it's alright with the moderators. I'm not sure it is so I'm asking first. It's the song "Escape" from that soundtrack... I just want to know what that choral part is. I'm pretty sure I've heard it elsewhere and don't think by any means that it is original and unique to this soundtrack. Probably some classical dude wrote it or something.

edit: found the playlist + I am a dolt for not seeing it.

We do not encourage you to distribute illegal music, blablabla, and so on. Wink As long as the file isn't hosted on our server and it is used "for the sole purpose of discussing it", it's ok with me. Cool

Idea I think "Escape", or at least a very similar tune, has been used in commercials and movietrailers like "Kiss of the Dragon " and "Romeo Must Die".

Okay, this is the song... it's not even a very good mp3 recording, but eh, it gets the point across. I figure it's probably by Carl Orff, maybe in the Carmina Burana, and I just don't have the whole thing... Carmina Burana is one long... long.. thing. Whatever it is. I've noticed the same composer use "O Fortuna" in some of his songs so perhaps I just need to find the whole Carmina Burana and nitpick through it.

Don't know where he might have taken the chorus from (or if it's original) but it has been used in several trailers, including "The Musketeer".
