Hi there,

Is there any reason why the trailer of a specific movie do not play the corresponding soundtrack but some other soundtracks or songs? Is there any law about this ? Who takes the decision of the music of the trailer ? I am asking this because it came up in a discussion (for French speakers, it would be here :

Laughing) where someone asked why the remix of Requiem for a Dream does not appear in the soundtrack of the Two Towers although it was in the trailer. To my knowledge, most soundtracks do not include the trailers' music. The soundtrack is only what is played during the movie but does not include any music or songs from the trailer. Anyone who could help us solve this mystery? Thanks !
