Ok, I know there was a topic about this before, but my tired eyes aren't seeing it...
Perhaps it is the monitor I have, but I've noticed when I try to look in the queue to ensure I don't request a song that was recently played, the columns don't match up all of the way across. It just makes it pretty tricky to figure out what has been played. If there's any way to fix that, I would greatly appreciate it.
Is anyone else out there in SST land having the same problem? Or is it just me?

I updated the 21-98 queue page. Let me know if this is better. This page is kind of lame because it uses up a lot of bandwidth. Both queue pages and the status page (the one above) are uploaded from my computer to the server that StreamingSoundtracks.com resides. This uses up a lot of bandwidth so I am in the situation of trying to make the 3 pages user friendly and attractive without using too much code. Thanks for your feedback. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

If I could pick at one thing..
I always find myself really paying attention to the menu ...
now that its on the side... its easier to see ...
having Ratings inbetween, Queue & Requests might be a bit jumbled. ie the groupings ...
Perhaps:
Home
Contribute
About & Contact (do they need to be seperate?)
Links & Help
Poll
Posters (perhaps add this in banner area instd)
MiniBrowser
Ratings
Forum
Requests
Queue
Listen
Idea was that Home & Listen are the two higher importance items, so that you can get current messages, and Listening belongs with the queue & requests.. so home at one end, listen at the other, everything else is 'in-between' but grouped to be closer .... ? am I making sense? _________________ -T2 |

When your monitor is set to 800x600 resolution or lower, the problem you mentioned will occur if you view the queue in the main frame.
You can get around this by either (a) changing your resolution (which probably isn't practical) or (b) opening the queue page in another browser window. To do this simply right-click on the Queue link and select "Open in New Window" (or something like that) in the context menu that pops up.
This opens a second window where the queue list should display correctly. _________________ My top 5 soundtracks:1. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial2. Jurassic Park3. Apollo 134. A.I. Artificial Intelligence5. Forrest Gump |

I thought the Menu in alphabetaical order was easiest with HOME on top. Is that just me? _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I like T2's suggestion on the meny layout. Grouping the menu items could be a good idea too. Maybe like this:
----------
Home
----------
Contribute
About & Contact (do they need to be seperate?)
Links & Help
Posters (perhaps add this in banner area instd)
MiniBrowser
----------
Poll
Ratings
Forum
----------
Requests
Queue
Listen
---------- |

My mind likes the alphabetical order. But maybe that's just me... |

Hi Everyone! Just got back from Cancun - I'm so tired. I checked out the site while I was in Mexico and I noticed the change. Wow... lots of changes since I've been gone. It's going to take a little bit to get used to the chat and album cover being on the right, but I think I'll eventually adjust.
Great job Jeric! |

PS - just noticed one thing. I wasn't logged in, and I had my username and pw in the field above. I could Add Reply just fine, but if I went to Preview Post it told me "Sorry, you must be registered and logged in to view your post". Not sure if this is a bug, but I thought you might want to know. |
