What is your favorite video game that is based on a Horror Movie ? ? ?
I don't own any horror movie video games, but I'd like your comments....
Also, if you've tired a horror video game and you thought it stunk, please let us know about that too. _________________ Emergency Command Override 100375 ---- "READY WHEN YOU ARE SGT. PEMBRY ...." |

All I know is, they make a lot of video games with zombies. They really don't need to make video games based on horror movies and horror movie franchises are rarely valuable enough to sell rights to a video game, because... well... ZOMBIES! eunnnggghhhhh
*eats your brain*
Dead Rising I'm told is good - it's a bit of a mixture of Dawn of the Dead (being stuck in a mall) and Evil Dead (humour, Ash style) _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

Well, House of the Dead and Resident Evil were movies based on video games. As for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, that didn't have to be based on anything as there was no real connection to anything. Is Alien vs. Predator a movie based on several video games, or is it just based on a concept? Beats me.
I've played games based on Aliens and Alien 3, but I don't know of any game based on the first movie. Then there are all those Alien vs. Predator games, most predating the movie. I heard The Thing was fun, but I haven't tried that for myself. Here's a review for a Predator game: Concrete Jungle _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

Oh, you'll like it. It has a great atmosphere and makes an interesting continuation of the film's story. |

Well, due to creative license, I doubt that any video game would be based strictly on a particular movie. I believe it would be more "the concept" of the movie, ie a "Planet of the Apes" or Star Wars video game might easily include aspects from multiple movies in the franchise..... Or so it might be.... _________________ Emergency Command Override 100375 ---- "READY WHEN YOU ARE SGT. PEMBRY ...."

Yes, I can easily believe it was the "concept" of Aliens vs. Predator so they could avoid certain legalities. I did have quite a bit of fun finishing the various side-scrollers (Aliens by Konami, Alien vs Predator by Capcom, Alien 3 by Probe) over the years. Something gratifying about shooting, dissecting, frying, spearing, crushing and exploding swarms of xenomorphs that is intensely gratifying.
Oh yeah, Bloodrayne, Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark are also movies based on such games... (I know, Uwe Boll is not everyone's favourite director in the world...) _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.
