I don't know if this has ever been suggested or would be difficult to implement, but what if in the queue under the length of the individual track time there was also a estimated time remaining until the track plays. i.e.

16
2:33
1:04:22

Obviously it is not necessary, but it would be a nice little feature if you want to know how much time you have left until your or someone else's request plays.

Or.......
In the meantime, you can do like I do - have 3 timers going:
1 for when your request will play;
1 for when a request that's dedicated to you will play; and
1 for when you can request again (which SST already shows, thank heaven!) Wink

I was reading through this thread(and the ones linked in it). Would it be possible to see how long before your track plays in VIP area?

Example:
Playlist wait: 30 minutes
Your Request : Ready
Next song to play : ETA 1 hour 14 minutes

I know it's not anything we majorly need, but I'm horrible at timing my tracks out. I try to make sure they'll play when I'm at my desk, but there have been numerous times I just timed it wrong.

I don't think that group that we always worry about allows that in their rules, Asri.

This would certainly help me out. I listen from work and if I estimate incorrectly, I miss my track. Not to be selfish, I like to listen to all of the tracks but when you can really only get in maybe 3 tracks per day, I want to be there when they play.

This would probably be almost impossible to program, but that's something the other Admins who are the experts in programming, can address.

You might not like this idea, but it's one that I use every day:

Buy an inexpensive digital kitchen timer that has Hours & Minutes on it. (Good Cook is a good one.) Look at the Queue. Starting at the cue/track above yours in the Queue, look at its length and click off the minutes on the Minute button of your timer. If the length is like 3:56, I tap in 4; if it's 2:23, I tap in 2. Go up the queue and quickly punch in the minutes for each track. Every 3-4 tracks, I add an extra minute to account for the seconds. Once I pass 60 minutes, I tap the Hour to 1. Believe it or not, I am almost always dead on! The alarm goes off and my request (or someone else's I've waited for) starts within a minute or two.

Not rocket science but pretty darn handy and easy.

I tend to gague when my req will play by the "Queue length" info at the top of the page. It's usually too short if it hasn't updated lately, but it's rarely too long, so I'm rarely too late for my req.
