|
We have a Schedule page which was used to announce special playlist days on the birthdays of composers before the new playlist and request rules were installed.
Now this page seems to have lost it's function and isn't updated anymore.
My suggestion is to change the 'Event Playlist' to an 'Event Calendar' with the birthdays of composers and other events related to SST (i.e. SST's birthday or contest related events). That way members can see the birthdays and request tracks from that composer by choice.
The playlist format information could be transfered to the about page or the FAQ.
And as a first addition to the composer birthday calendar, today (September 18th) is the birthday of John Powell. _________________ The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on Flying: The knack of throwing yourself at the ground and miss.

I think it is very useful idea, Stefan.
We could also transfer to this calendar all known SSTers' birthdays from the list currently run by Tjoe. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

That's also a nice idea (which was posted before), although in my opinion seperate calendars for members and composers is the best and less confusing option.
In that thread I read about plans of a 'birthday block' so maybe an administrator/Jeric could give an update on the status of that plan. _________________ The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on Flying: The knack of throwing yourself at the ground and miss.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, it's currently in the works. We won't be combining SST birthdays with it though. Better to keep them separate. Thanks, Stef and Mol. |

Maybe someone could realize this idea. The events could be even visible on tha main page, so incoming people would realize it instantly. _________________ "Music is what feelings sound like." |

Nice extension to the idea Raygi. This is something I want the admins to work on this year. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
