even if the site is dedicated to scores for the most part, on the schedual it goes give 10 percent of playtime to songs like what are on this soundtrack.
It may not be for everyone, but what on here IS for everyone?

It's worth the add-on just for their killer rendition of the Peter Gunn theme!
Plus, I just had to sit through back-to-back playings of "Phantom of the Opera" and "Pocahontas", so I don't think lyrics are the real issue. |

The Blues Brothers is a great movie, I own it and watch it once every couple months. It busts me up everytime, "How often does the train come by?" - "So often you won't even notice."
But, to be honest, the production quality of the ST (which I also own) isn't that great. They didn't work very hard to make the vocals sound pro. So, even though it's a great comedy and a good time, I voted no. I think that vocal tracks in general are already way over-represented in the queue. |

I'd like to hear the Blues Brothers rendention of "Rawhide".....
Search "Rawhide" and you will see that "other" versions have been alredy included for films and collections....

The Blues Brothers ST is the baby, and the bathwater is...?
The sound quality is not so hot. There is always the aspect of precedent. "Well, you let the Blues Brothers on..." There is no telling what might come next.
I'm also sticking to my guns on the musicals. I mean look at how much we hear Top Gun, Moulin Rouge, Grease, Chicago, etc. The soundtracks that people submit thinking that they might provide a change of pace from scores, end up way over represented.
But, if you want Blues Brothers, vote yes. I voted no.

I was browsing through the request forum, and saw this request.
I know there are people against vocal songs. But on this album are a lot of songs that really connects you to the movie, like the songs from Top Gun.
And beside that a lot of songs are rearranged for the movie. That is a lot are performed by the Blues Brothers themself.
So worth a try to bump it and let see what all the members thinks who joined SST after Februari 20th, 2006
