|
I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to why the artist isn't listed as part of the request in queue; it seems like something that intuitively should be there. Am I just missing it? |

No, you're not BYUTenderHeart.
I don't know for sure, but I believe there's no artists included on the queue for saving space reasons.
But one of the Admins (Twopop, Caliburn, Obi or JERIC) will know for sure. |

It's a little bit of a space thing but it also enters the gray area of violating one of the DMCA guidelines. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

It's been discussed before. E.g. in this thread: http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3121

As you can see by 6.3:
"Advance [...] artist playlists [...] may not be published."
That's the reason why we aren't allowed to show the artist name in the queue. |

Thanks for the response. That rule seems silly, but I guess SST needs to follow the laws.
I did like the suggestion in the linked thread of having a list of all artists in queue. Is that a possibility? |

I don't know how the rule works, but that may or may not count as an advance artist playlist thingy.
However, the request section does warn you if the artist is already in queue, cutting to the disappointment a whole step earlier than before. |

I don't know if it is hard to do, but how about putting that yellow queue marking on the playlist section? Then you could see straight from the library is the artists/album already chosen. Then you wouldn't have to take the whole trip to the album's playlist. |

I agree that would be a nice feature. We're very busy the next couple months but we'll look into it after then. Thanks! _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Are you still planning to make this a feature? _________________ "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you..." - Gandalf the Grey

Yes but it is a low priority. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
