|
Hello,
I heard Concerto De l'Adieu from the album Dien Bien Phu a while back and I've been trying to find out where I could get a copy of the CD or get any other information about it.
It such a beautiful piece that I can't believe it's only available on an album that's not being published anymore. Any discussions that I've found on the internet are mostly in French (which I don't speak).
If anyone has any information about this piece I would be grateful if you could let me know.
All the best,

You are right about Dien Bien Phu (released on Polydor) being out of print. Your best chance to find a used copy would be from ebay. However it is extremely pricey and often goes for more than $80.
Both the long cues on the cd (9 min and 18 min) are pretty much similar. You might want to be on the lookout for a Delerue compilation on Odeon titled: "Georges Delerue: 30 Ans De Musique De Film". That one has the 9 min cue along with many others from different films. The compilation cd is also out of print but you might get lucky with a good deal (although the last time on ebay it went for around $60)
Here's the listing for both cds on Soundtrack Collector-

Thanks for that BhelPuri - I'll keep an eye on ebay.
