Hmmm... I did see alot of differences myself on other sites, Especially CD Universe. But I didn't feel like registering to any website just for purchaseing the boxed set. So I bought at amazon.
Oh well. Would of been different if I was price comparing on Fighter planes.

I don't think I created a new account since I just used the google checkout. All I had to do was provide my billing and shipping info. You can always cancel your amazon order like I did and save $15.

Don't forget to download the Two Towers Annotated Score at http://www.lordoftherings-soundtrack.com/
It's free (and they have one for the Fellowship recording at the same site). It's basically a big, full-color pdf booklet with all the lyrics, plus extensive commentary on each track, some variations between the final film soundtrack and the score as conceived (and sometimes recorded) and lots about the instruments. I don't plan to buy the soundtracks. Too rich for my blood. But I do have both of these booklets, and every time one of the tracks comes up of SST, I call it up and consult it. |

Omg, is Return of the King complete recordings going to come out? That's my favorite one and I want them all. Maybe they will come in a 3 piece set for $150 later?
For some reason this seems so much better than the first three CDs they let out. So much better than I really, really REALLLLLLLLY want it. O_O |

Great link as well, LadyI, I wonder why these extra notes are not included in the complete recordings packages?!
Gecko, you won't be disappointed, these editions are indeed much better -- A single 74 minutes CD is definitely not enough for such beautiful work
And in the interview it is said that the Return of the King complete recordings will be four CD! (plus the additional DVD Audio). Great!!
