Just a suggestion, you might want to post this in the "Soundtracks" forum where many discussions transpire on who likes what.
This forum is really set aside for specific requests. _________________ “Failure doesn't kill you. . . it increases your desire to make something happen.” - Kevin Costner |

Again, I think the best place for this would be the entertainment forum... For the best anime soundtracks, please check the following thread:

Enjoy
To answer the question, I just purchased "Kino's Journey" (Kino no Tabi). It's fantastic _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

You're right, alchemist. I didn't look closely enough, but it's about Anime not Anime soundtracks.

I tend to lean more toward less popular anime (in America that is), so this list isn't even close to my personal favs.

So what are yours, Babe?
Mine would include Kino no Tabi, Haibane Renmei, NieA_7, Lain, Cowboy Bebop... There are many I still want to check, such as Texhnolyze, Paranoïa Agent and... maybe Full Metal Alchemist (yeah, why does this guy take my name? ) _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

I agree, Haibane Renmei is very good, AL.
Well, right now I'm really into a series called Figure 17. This may seriously be one of the most unique anime titles I have ever seen.
Also, Super Gals is another fantastic anime. It has great characters, funny dialogue and a wonderful message for young people. Highly recommended, but with a small profanity warning- They say the words dumb !# and b!#ch a lot. But the stories have an amazingly strong moral grounding.
I have a tendency to dig old school or retro anime as well. Giant Robo is some seriously cool anime. The score is one of the best out there.
Big O is like a Japanese version of Batman, only weirder.
And in the old school category is Patlabor: The TV Series. Shows like this are the reason why anime is on the map at all. This is a fav.
And lastly, Azumanga Daioh may be one of the funniest anime shows of all time. I still laugh at the same jokes no matter how many times I watch it or show it to friends. Great stuff all around.

Oh yes Alchemist, how could I forget Paranoia Agent,
h3ll I even cosplayed as Tsukiko Sagi and I made a Maromi plush toy thingy
...I've also seen DNAngel and Karin, enjoyed both very much.
(and then I've seen some yaoi/shounen-ai anime) _________________ Our umbrellas are colliding and I can't walk straightly.

I watch a ton of anime, and of those in the poll, Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite. But FMA is in reality my third favorite series, so I voted "None of the Above".
Here is my top 10 (plus 5 honorable mentions):
1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Ergo Proxy
3. Fullmetal Alchemist
4. Kannazuki no Miko
5. Eureka Seven
6. Death Note (this is my favorite manga though)
7. Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~
8. Cowboy Bebop
9. Monster
10. Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin): Trust and Betrayal
Honorable Mentions: Elfen Lied, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Karin, Ah! My Goddess
But, if you want a better picture of my favorites, go to this link:

It's not in order, but it should be obvious that I like anything rated "Masterpiece" more than something rated "Excellent". _________________ "Use the Force ... Frodo" - Obi-Wan the Grey |
