yeah sorry, ok heres mine, don't bash me because i've left out some of the old greats - morricone, goldsmith, bernstein, hermann etc, but i've not got much of a big collection so far, so i've only been able to gauge what i can from a my more 'modern' collection!
my fav's are (in no particular order):
james newton-howard, i was drawn to him after hearing signs, and king kong
alan silvestri, i love this guys music, back to the future, predator, contact, forrest gump, and van helsing my favs
harry gregson-williams, man on fire and kingdom of heaven, first time i heard him was on spy game, and i loved his track 'training montage'
craig armstrong, his style is probably the one i adore most, the theme from romeo and juliet - very moving, as well as the life of david gale, plunkett & macleane also
john ottman, liked his touch on fantastic 4, and superman returns, especially the track 'power of the sun'
john powell, great soundtrack he did for bourne supremacy, tracks 'to the rooftop' and 'berlin foot chase' my favs
yann tiersen - goodbye lenin, his piano works very moving
since i started listening to scores i've been most impressed by gregson-williams, and i think he was one of zimmer's apprentice's |

My favourites are:
John Powell - Love all his stuff. He is the greatest ever!
Hans Zimmer - This guy kicks ass! King Arthur & Mission: Impossible 2 are my favourites. But all his stuff rules!
Bear McCreary - Battlestar Galactica: Season 2 *drools*!
James Newton Howard - Trailer music to Blood Diamond is orgasmic! Want that score sooooooooooo much! |
