To my suprise it is on 2nd place of most requested songs. Making it one of the most requested songs the last couple of days.

To me that is very weird. Remixes are ok if they are done probably. But IMHO this remix just plain sucks and is a disgrace to Zimmer's and Gerrard's masterpiece. To me it is the original track with a computer beat.

Someone disagrees?

Remixes are fine with me. I wouldn't call it a disgrace. If there is room for more songs on the CD I say go for it. Even if it is to target a different audience. The Maximus Mix was popular in night clubs around the globe. Perhaps that song sold a few more CDs and maybe even opened a new glorious world of soundtracks for some people.

I haven't requested it. But I like that mix. I'll leave music that sounds more classical, and relaxing. If I want somthing to get me going, or even dance, well that where those crazy rave mixers come in. Like Paul O! Smile

I remember the first time I heard it I thought it was weird, but was actually surprised to not think that it sucked as much as I think most remixes do.. like I really can't stand the Mad World remixes from the "original" in the movie Donnie Darko (Yes, I realize the "original" in the movie isn't the real original)

I heard the Mad World remix in a restaurant called Cheddar's the other day.

I too found it surprisingly good. I'm more for soft sounds and relaxed tones.
