Too bad I don't know all the soundtracks, except for "V for Vendetta"...

But there's still time, right? Wink

Next year, it would be nice if you could bring back the members proposing nominees for the soundtrack of the year in the forums. Probably just the regulars were waiting around for the contest since it's a yearly tradition, and it got people talking in the chat and defending their choices.

As a current VIP, it's pretty dry to click on a couple of polls without some input, even though the staff worked hard on their selections.

I'm fine with the staff selecting the nominees for the other categories since they did a nice job overall. If all goes smoothly, maybe you can add a few more categories next year.

We can only hope.

For the record one of our 'guidances' of our choices where the ratings. You can even write reviews for each album. So the community in a way was still involved in selecting the nominees.

Given that 9 out of the 10 nominees have a rating of at least 4, I imagine the 'guidance' was pretty strong. So how did Flyboys make the list? It doesn't even have a rating. Of the 117 scores released in 2006 at SST, 79 are still unrated. Surely this is unfair for these scores? Where is the opportunity for a VIP to at least nominate such unrated scores? Where is the opportunity for a VIP to at least nominate 2006 scores which are not yet on the SST playlist? Surely this process is more than just about winning. It's an opportunity to share our love for scores, many of which may yet be unknown to other members. When I joined last year, the 2005 nominees were still being selected. I remember thinking how much I'd like to participate the following year, and now you have denied me and others that chance. I can't reiterate enough how disappointing this is.

I think you're drawing a long bow here.
