|
Recently, with new headphones I discovered distortions on the left channel throughout the entire day on every single track. I have verified my headphones working properly by listening to high bitrate recordings of the same soundtracks I have stored here locally and no such distortion can be heard. So its neither my soundcard or listening equipment.
I am listening to the MP3 Pro streams, no difference which one.
Anyone hearing similar? |

Have you tried any other mp3PRO stations? Also, you can try the Ogg streams to see if that clears it up. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Just wanted to give an update on this issue. It has not changed.
After reading this forum I came to understand it could have something to do with the applied normalization to the streams.
Well, I am not sure if I should subscribe to the VIP streams if those problems may persist in the higher quality streams.
I am actually surprised nobody else here is hearing those. I have tried other 64k streams from other stations without any problems. So I am pretty sure its SST related. |

Can you explain what these distortions sound like? _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Even when listening with 3rd-generation Bose noise-reducing headphones, I don't hear any distortion in either channel. _________________ "If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I've never noticed any distortions in either of the streams ever (and just to nitpick a bit, we don't have any MP3Pro channels anymore. Only AAC+ or OGG ), not even on my brand new, dark and very expensive headphones. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,
