Hey there...
I'm having several issues with both, the stream, and the chat box this morning. On one occassion the chatbox spammed the last thing I typed whilst I was trying to type...
when accessing the stream (64 on WMP) I get the following error:
Quote: |
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration> |
any help would be appreciated. Thank you! |

I couldn't figure out how to make WMP work, but it's back on today anyway... _________________ "If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.... I get most joy in life out of music."

Thank you Stefan! very useful links!
I took the freedom to rename this thread's title to "Listen Page Down", TDC. Thank you for reporting this problem in the first place! _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

For future reference, I found out how to create a simple ".asx" file to that I don't have to worry if the listen page is down again. Windows Media Player (WMP) will happily play SST if given a file containing the following (just copy and paste into sst.asx in Notepad):
Code: |
<ASX VERSION="3.0">
<TITLE>StreamingSoundTracks.com</TITLE>
<ENTRY>
<REF HREF="icyx://hi.streamingsoundtracks.com:80"/>
<TITLE>Streaming Sound Tracks</TITLE>
</ENTRY>
</ASX>
|
Of course, you do need the AAC+ plugin for WMP. This does the same as "Open URL..." and fill in the location given earlier for 32/64k streams. Too bad WMP has really horrible support for saving such streams (couldn't place it into a library - had to create the ASX to make it happy) |

Good idea Alchemist!
I haven't had any problems since, so hopefully other folks are getting their listening issues resolved too.
cheers. |
