Yes, Christopher Young is doing the score for Spider-man 3. (I'd provide the link to my original post from 10 weeks back, but it seems moot at this point).

As for Eddie Brock having to be musclebound, two words for you: Topher Grace. Yes. Eric Forman from That 70's Show. For a while, he was rumoured to be "Venom." They somehow confirmed this enough to add it to IMDB, but then they removed it, only to keep Topher Grace's name on the cast list.

There is also an alternate version of Venom in the Ultimate Marvel universe that seems closer to what Topher Grace could play (barring the need for him to gain 80 pounds in muscle). It's not an alien-suit per se, but Wikipedia explains it much better than I could:

I never knew that much about Venom, and I have Venom Lethal Protector #1-3. I should probably go and look to make it a complete set...
When all else fails, consider time travel.

Stories are for children, skyscrapers, and anyone wishing to reach for the stars.

The truthiness shall set you free.

Really digging deep with this but didn't Jonah Jameson's son bring it back from space or something?

I owe you an apology graywolf. well, maybe a partial one. Wink

the comic book origin of the black costume still stands, however I wasn't aware that the origin was changed for the 1994 animated series until just recently.

The symbiote was found and brought back to earth by astronaut John Jameson, son of Jonah Jameson. You can read about it here

They make it quick and simple in Spider-Man 3 (where the suit comes from, I mean):

A meteor strikes in a park where Parker and Mary Jane are having a little romantic outing and the black stuff hitches a ride on Parker's scooter.

No in-depth knowledge of the Spider-Man saga required... Wink
