I believe that all SST members are interested in all kinds of music, not just the beloved sound tracks.
National Geographic is such a well respected orgnaization. I have been getting their magazine, travel and photo opportunities newsletters for some time now. They are now publishing a new newsletter that centers on music around the world.
It has news, location information, photos to download, and music to hear.
I totally recommend it. At least go there and look about. Of course online newsletters are free.

Heavily forested and sparsely populated, Gabon preserves the ritual music of Africa's equatorial forest belt—and boasts one of Africa's great musical geniuses.

Hey Cinder, thanks so much for that info!
In case folks don't want the newsletter cramming their inbox, here's the web link:

I really enjoy world music... or at least I think I do. I just never know what to look for or where to sample it. This seems like a great resource.
Thanks again Cinder!
