Nice post Raygi!

It's been some time since I last watched AMVs and my favorite ones are quite old now. However, if you're a fan of the Ghibli studios you should like:

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - Loved by the Sun (Tangerine Dreams)

Memories Dance - The Mummers’s Dance (Loreena McKennitt)

Grave of the Fireflies - Suo Gan - Empire of the Sun (John Williams) (warning: spoilers inside!)

Enjoy!

Memories Dance AMV did with me exactly what is written. Remembering and shivering... Very Happy

From Ghibli I often watch AMV to song by Roxette. Btw. I like all their music very much.

Wish I Could Fly on Ghibli's: Kiki's Delivery Service and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

there are many classics in AMV that are quite cool.

I like this one !
Right now someone is reading this Title

Or this one with Noir
Die another day

Or this one with Nightmare before Christmas OST
The AMV before Halloween

And finaly this one using Cowboy Beebop
Failed experiments in video editing

(BTW I do not do You Tube, most of these are from the org ^_^)
Shonen Bushido is one of my favorite AMVs ever. Probably because of all of the various in-jokes relating to the shows in general.

Euphoria is really good, too. Loved by the Sun is a classic as is Memories Dance. But I really like for Grave of the Fireflies

Man's Road (America) done by Lostboy This is really tender and sweet and so very fits the anime.

Right Now someone is Reading this Title rocks the galactic Muffin but I don't think that Failed Experiments in Video Editing stands up as a great AMV outside of AMV fandom since it has a lot of in-jokes related to the AMV community.

Here are a list of some of what I consider the "Best of the Best" (If I could find them on You Tube I will link there)

This is Your Life by Scott Melzer featuring music from Fight Club - Using DBZ footage this video is probably one of the best Dragonball Z AMVs out there. And it tells a little story about the fighters too.

A Thousand Miles by Kwasek to A Thousand miles by Vanessa Carleton. This is what Disney should have used to get people into Whisper of the Heart. It is the perfect AMV and one you can show to Non-anime people and still get them to appreciate it.

Fathers and Sons by MTT Akimbo to Still Fighting It by Ben Folds - The other best DBZ AMV and it is pretty heart wrenching especially if you know the series. But knowing the series isn't necessary.

Ninja of the Night by Forty Dollar Productions using Sifl and Ollie. One of the perfect Naruto AMVs guaranteed to get a chuckle.

Sappy Self Indulgence by Kusoyaro using the Elephany Love Meledy from Moulin Rouge. Even if you don't like the song, it sooooo works for this AMV and it is what I think of everytime I hear this song. It takes stuff from El Hazard, Fushigi Yuugi, Record of the Lodoss War, Video Girl Ai, Hand Maid May, Ah! My Goddess and Escaflowne and shows the beauty of these love stories. The Fushigi Yuugi bits get me every time.

And the last one for now.

Odorikuruu by Aokakestu Digital - Various anime - just a happy peppy song with great lipsync.

I collect AMVs and have over 100 on my computer at the moment ^_^

Aaah...the sunset, very nice. Fortunately soon will begin holidays and so I'll have time to watch these Ghibli movies again.

As a side note, you could use the new YouTube feature, as mentioned here: http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4261

I'll edit my own post; muchas gracias to Chandler! Smile
