I was wondering what people thought the best place to buy and download (legally) soundtracks from was online? Often I only want a couple of tracks from an album so don't want to buy the CD.

Hey landj,

I would start with iTunes. It's becoming quite a popular download site, so record labels are feeling more and more comfortable making their albums available there. (Especially newer stuff.)

Searching for soundtrack downloads can be frustrating, though, so beware. I often find them miscategorized or with "Original Soundtrack" or "The London Symphony Orchestra" listed as the artist or something like that. Rolling Eyes I would recommend searching using multiple strings before you're convinced they don't have what you're looking for. If you can't find it there, try Napster or Walmart.com, but I usually find fewer choices there.

I haven't actally purchased any soundtracks online; I've just done a lot of searching. Wink

Downloading individual titles from soundtracks on iTunes can be a tad frustrating. Quite often you can get a particular track only when you buy the entire. Especially the longer ones.(Hans Zimmer, anyone?Wink)
Otherwise iTunes is still the best site I've found, as far as user comfort is concerned.
