Here's the deal. I got a Spanish project about some music guy and i'm hoping to find a spanish classical composer or one that makes movie scores and i had no idea where to look except for here. Hoping someone would be able to help me. I know some classical composers but i want to actually enjoy the music. Thanks a lot,

Probably the most famous, and stereotypical but execptional, peice of spanish music is Malaguena by Ernesto Lecuona.

I played it on piano a couple of years ago and still do, actually i played it today. its wicked fun and has many interesting parts.

there are also several versions of the piece aswell, a piano version, a orchestral version (which is really nice!!), and a guitar solo. there are probably several others.

Another spanish classical composer is Albeniz. His most famous piece was "Suite Espangola" (i think thats how u spell it). it also has Malaguena, which is the best part of the whole score, but not as good as Lecuona's.

There are several other spanish composers that are worth mentioning but i don't remember their names Embarassed. oh well.

I hope this helps. I don't really know many spanish Film composers but im sure if you look at the scores from any Almodava film, you'll see some of the top film scores in spain.

(ps this assumes that your questioning about spanish music from spain - i don't really know that much about latin american music)
El Pianoman"You mean I can't keep it?" - John Williams in reference to an essay that I wrote about him when I asked him to sign it.
