JERIC,

I remember a couple of months ago that you refused to accept some soundtracks from various people because the music came from dubious backgrounds--you were not convinced that they were legitimate CD's. I was very impressed by the integrity that you showed and your desire to keep everything legit. But all of a sudden, I am noticing that you have several bootleg copies of music floating around...

Basic Instinct
Blade Runner
The Vanishing
(possibly more)

If you don't mind me asking, what changed, and why?

Thanks,
Yvond

I don't think anything has changed. Those tracks have been in the playlist for quite a while already. Bootlegs are not illegal in the perspective of the buyer/owner. It is only illegal for the bootleg manufacturer. They are seen all the time floating around in the mainstream market and can be bought by anybody. What is illegal is copying copyrighted CDs and playing them over the internet. In short, the difference is playing material that was directly bought from the market versus playing illegal copies of store-bought material.
