OK, someone had to suggest it. *shrug* 
As for dates, it's kinda geeky, but Game Day could coincide with the beginning or end of the E3 Electronics Entertainment Expo, or maybe with a main event of the World Series of Video Games.
Other ideas are welcome, like the anniversary of the release of PONG (Nov 29), or something like that.
This would be a fun chance to hear all those rarely-requested game tracks.

Voted Yes, great idea! 
I'd extend the video game concept to a more general game theme day, in order to make it more attractive for the non gamers out there. What do you think?

I will say that I have been a slow starter on the game scores, but Kingdom Hearts hooked me and I love some of the composers since then... notably Jeremy Soule. Not to denigrate games, but I'd love to hear him score a film! |

Yes, Luther. Or with the 'game' word in the album title, as it maybe easier for non gamers to find them. Only a suggestion, though |

the date of the release of PONG (Nov 29) is also nice idea.
IMO game music is not so rare in the queue, e.g. right now, every 10th.
I request VGM every 3rd pick. (taming myself not to pick every one)

Well, when it comes to Role-Playing / Fantasy Video Games.... don't we kind of, sort of do this every day, here at SST, by default ??

There's a lot of great Video game music out there (I'm thinking Total Annhalliation & MechWarrior) that it should be possible to stick just to video game music.
Sound_Track: we do play a few tracks every day - especially Final Fantasy, if I remember rightly - but there is an entire storehouse that is untouched right now.

The Joy of SST for me, was discovering some really cool video game music that I did not know existed --- The HITMAN music !!

I'm all about videogame music. Although, I'll admit to liking the synth music like Mega Man and Street Fighter. Final Fantasy VI has some of the best synth music ever. It really conveys all of Nobuo Uematsu's feelings accurately (perhaps that is why he's one of the best)
