Is Drew Carey a good choice to replace retired Bob Barker as the host of "The Price is Right?" |
Yes, his comic wit and good nature is a good fit for hosting the show. |

No, he is too goofy and won't take the proceedings seriously. |

Maybe, at least it is a superior choice over Rosie O'Donnell. |

Hey! I like Rosie and she would be awesome as host of the Price is Right. |

I grew up watching this show. I even recall that my grandparents let me watch it before I even started school. It never occured to me that Bob Barker would retire someday. Well, that day has come and a new host has been announced. It's time for the SST community to sound off, is Drew Carey a good choice to host this game show? _________________ Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win."

my first thought when I heard this news...
I guess ABC didn't like being called the Drew Carey network, so he sold out to CBS
I think he'll do fine as the new host of Price is Right. Maybe they'll get some new games with the new host. _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

New games would be great, although Plinko must stay! One thing for sure though is that they really should consider updating their stage sets. Talk about still being stuck in the 70's. Maybe they should be considering moving to a larger studio. That place looks crammed.
BTW, I say the theme song stays. _________________ Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win."

Speaking of Drew Carey, I just saw Power of 10. Drew is amusing, but I wish they'd knock it up to a TV-14 so he can make some really filthy remarks. I haven't seen a TV-14 game show since Win Ben Stein's Money. Before that, it was Studs and S3x Wars.

Well, his audience on Power of 10 would probably like a little dirty wit, BUT not the Price is Right folks. I think, even with tv nowadays, I don't have to hear dirty jokes to be entertained. _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |
