Today there were a lot of 15+ minute songs in the queue. As a result, the queue was getting longer and longer. I just like to know the peoples opinion about long tracks.

I like long tracks, but only when the queue is not too long, though I have been guilty of it on occasion, I try to keep my reqs under 5-7min when the queue is over 2 hours. However, when it is under two hours, I don't care if there are long reqs in queue, and will often add one myself.

When the Q is short it is a nice time for some of the long tracks. The problem is getting people to understand that these should not be requested during pique times. Please don't eliminate long tracks just because some people aren't respecting Queue Etiquet

How did we go from LOTRKing digging up an old thread to panic about elimination of long tracks?

Nobody mentioned eliminating long tracks here.

Is has been discussed in the past, as well as other possibilities like limiting long tracks during peak times, long queue times, to VIPs only, to VIPs only during peak times, to editing/breaking of long tracks. To my knowledge, only the last option has ever been implemented.

Confused Where is it mentioned that we should remove long tracks? I don't see that in Cal's original post... I simply brought this forum up because I was curious to see what you guys though about long tracks.
