|
Not sure if this idea is feasible or favorable, but it was an idea I thought of the other day.
I was thinking it would be useful to list who donated an album to the playlist so that if anyone had a question about the CD they could PM the person a relevant question like how that person liked it or how they found (purchased) it.
My main motivation for suggesting this idea is because some of the non-mainstream music (generally foreign scores or imports) is generally more difficult to find so being able to ask where a person purchased a CD might help others who are interested in purchasing the same CD. For example, I know that korean soundtracks can sometimes be difficult to find and I have found certain places that offer scores that are not your normal CD purchase places (ebay, amazon etc.)
Just an idea and while I know it would be time intensive just thought I would throw it out there as a possiblity and get everyones feedback. |

That is a pretty cool idea. I thought about doing this too. And yes, of course tagging everything is going to take lots of time. I can see us doing this the same time if/when we have to update other ID tags, such as "Record Label", which may be required if we get our own licensing (outside LoudCity and Live365). _________________ "Are you not entertained? and support the artits.

I often wish that there was a quicker way of knowing who donated (unless they wish to be annonymous). If you end up doing this, how about adding the date that it was added to the library too? _________________ "insert your own clever quote here.... I'm too lazy to do it." |

I'm guessing from tj's post that we're all aware of the current method of finding who donated a cd-
Just search for the cd name in the archive feature-

Of course, this goes only upto Aug 2001 (Horner's Perfect Storm being the earliest accessible). Atleast it's a fix for now, even if somewhat cumbersome. |
