I just noticed that the avatars are missing in the forums.
Did I somehow checked a setting for not displaying them or is it a bug? _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

I can't see them at the moment either and I'm sure I have not been playing with my forum settings lately. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Trying to fix the avatar issue we are having. This was a side effect while testing stuff. Should be back now. |

Hey, I'm having a problem with my avatar. I tried to change the image. The site says it must be a jpg, which it is, but when I select it from my hard drive, and click "Submit," the site just tells me that my file must be in .jpg, .gif, what have you. It is a jpg and it is the right size. What can I do differently? I'm afraid it's not on the internet, so I can't use a link. I've also lost my original avatar, which frosts my cookies. |

As far as I know, the only method that works right now is uploading the picture you want to use to Photobucket or a similar place, and then linking to it. If you can't (or don't want) to do that, the only alternative would be using some picture that's already on the internet.
Just out of curiosity... how does your avatar frost your cookies!? _________________ "Welcome to the paranoia club; cheapest fees in the universe and membership lasts forever."

There's a sticky somewhere (else) in the forums.
Use something like imageshack.us to host your image, Lady.

Oh, great, so now I have to register at yet another site.
I'm sorry to be snappy, but this is really a pain in the tuchus.
Upon reflection, I remember that I still have a geocities account and some web pages there, that I haven't updated in forever. I upload my image, and boom! There it is. Sigh.
Thanks everyone. Oh, and it's the losing the file that frosts my cookies, not the file itself. Still doesn't make sense? Then you've never seen Troop Beverly Hills. |

No need to register, at least for ImageShack.
