A 2-part remake of
The Andromeda Strain airs tonight & tomorrow on A&E.
Produced by Ridley Scott and Tony Scott, it supposedly stays true to the original and is filled with familiar TV actors.
Part 1: 9 PM (Monday, May 26) A&E
Part 2: 9 PM (Tues, May 27) |

Wow! How cool! Loved the 1970s film and the book! A Michael Crichton classic! I wonder when we will get a chance to see it over here in the UK? Guess I'll wait for iTunes to get it (grrr!)
Love to know what it's like, Two, if you're going to watch it! |

Thanks for the reminder Twopop! (I think I had seen an ad, but I would have forgotten about it.)
Since I had neither read the book or seen the first movie, I was interested in seeing this.
After watching Monday night... I'm not sure if I care one way or another about watching the finale. *shrug*
It seems like kind of a cross between: Spoiler: 28 Days Later and Contact | ...but not as good as either. Is this miniseries pretty close to the novel? I bet it would have made a good novel... in the 1970s.
Anyway, does anyone suggest that there will be reasons I will want to stick it out and watch the second half tonight?...
