This isn't even close to the issues caused when the same composer couldn't be in the queue or more than one track from the same score. People went nuts when that happened but after a while everyone became accustomed to it and now it is pretty much a non issue. |
Yeah, but that's because it's a big, ugly, official rule we don't have any leeway with. This is stuff where it's possible to fiddle with. _________________ "Welcome to the paranoia club; cheapest fees in the universe and membership lasts forever."

In truth though, if you read all the RIAA rules there was some fiddling that could have been done to make the requesting rules a bit less strict, but the current requesting rules was what was settled on and now everyone just accepts it as the way it is just like with the no repeat time will eventually be accepted as it is..... _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |

4/10 will likely be eventually accepted.. I don't even mind it set to that.
But 4/15 many of us would have never accepted and would likely not listen to the site as much. |

To each their own, I was rather happy with the 4/15 and advocated it a long time ago. 4/10 is acceptable, I just don't think it is much different from the way it was before other than the fact you can request the new stuff a bit more often.
But it isn't my station to run so my opinion doesn't really matter. _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |

I think threads like this and the actions often taken in response show that that is not entirely true.

I apologize, my comments probably came across as a bit harsh. Obviously SST does a great job of listening to the community in an effort to appease as many people as possible. I was simply stating that in the end it is not my decision to make on how things are implemented or changed.
I enjoy being a part of the community and offer my opinion on a multitude of issues as just one viewpoint. I think it is great that we have such a diverse community with a common interest. I appreciate everything SST does to make this station so unique. _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |
