in the chat this morning we were discussing pics of each other. The relevant content of the conversation follows:
Cocles: jk, at this point you guys will just have to email them to one of us.
jk2silly: Cal would you email it to cocles. I do not have the orig email here at work nor the picture
maddy: Cal, I don't have the pic here at work...feel free to email it to Cocles, if you would. Thanks!
jk2silly: If you and Jeric want to put together into the profiles or something a place to upload a picture of yourself then go for it. I am in favor of that
Cocles: I'll be back in a few... email it to my sst account.
jk2silly: then host mine there Cocles. Cal has the space and the web site and offered the on line storage.
Cocles: Surrre Maddy.
Cocles: Caray, frankly I don't want your pictures on my site. I do find it odd however that no one asks Jeric or me to just host it here at SST, which would make the most sense.
maddy: You want to see my pic, Cocles?
caray: And, Cocles, we don't see you offering to put pictures on your site.
Cocles: Caray, I already saw your pic. Big whoop, distant, coverd by a desk and out of focus. Yeehaw.
Cocles: Interesting. Cal, why are you actively collecting everyone's pics?
caray: Maddy, don't listen to him. He is just jealous that we are not sending our pics to him.
maddy: @Cocles, I sent it to cal because he had the most space to post it and I was thinking it was kind of the thing to do here. To be a part of the group...
It occured to me that a good addition to the member profiles would be the option of uploading a picture to that file. Not the avitars but an honest to gosh picture of yourself as you actually look! OMG! It would not be manditory but it could be fun.

Jeric, Sensei and I have actually discussed this. We miss the "Portrait" section that could be found in the profiles section of the old forum.
It'll be a bitch to program probably, but at some point, yes, we'd like to do this.
As far as hosting your online photo's on SST. I'll double check with Jeric, but it shouldnt' be a problem as long as your photos aren't HUGE. |

I checked with Jeric and everything's a-okay with him. If you want your pic hosted on SST send it to him or me. Probably me, since he already has a full enough plate and we'll put it up on the SST server. |
