Has anyone actually purchased the physical CD soundtrack of THE DARK KNIGHT?
The reason I ask, is because my disc has no artwork or any print on the actual CD itself. Not even a (C) 2008 Warner Bros. copyright. Is it perhaps supposed to be that way, or did I end up with a disc that just missed getting printed?
*Also as a side note, I imported my CD into iTunes, and iTunes cannot find the album cover art, which I find odd, being that it is available for download off of iTunes. |

I have purchased the Limited Edition. And it has artwork, booklet and some extra trading cards.
I purchased it at Amazon.
Here the differences of the Limited and regular version
-Track listing is identical for both. No bonus track on limited edition. Certainly would have been nice.
-Although the 2 versions have different cover art, note that the inside booklet of the limited edition has the same cover art as the regular version, as it's the exact same booklet. Booklet itself is the typical kind with various photos and album credits.
-Regular version has an exclusive photo of Batman looking at a wall covered with "HA HA HA" all over it, whereas limited edition has an exclusive 3-way fold-out collage photo of Joker playing cards with Batman in the middle vandalized with red lipstick. In addition, limited edition version has a very cool exclusive photo of the Joker walking down a street with his back to us, holding a playing card in one hand and a knife behind his back with the other.
-Limited edition version comes with 3 two-sided trading cards containing photos of Batman, Joker and Harvey Dent. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

The image of the joker walking down the street that you mentioned is also a downloadable wallpaper at http://thedarkknight.warnerbros.com/ _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

I'm not talking about the Limited Edition version vs. the regular one; I'm talking about the actual physical CD, the round shiny disc... it's completely blank on the top of it. No track listings, no DARK KNIGHT printed on it, no copyright, just a two sided blank looking disc... who's to know which side actually has the music on it without trying it. |

It would seem you got a 'lemon' because that isn't what it should look like....I would return it and get a new one. _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |

Where did you buy it? Was it factory sealed? _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Purchased it new; factory sealed at an HMV, which is Canadian record store franchise.
The disc works fine; I'm thinking that it just missed the printing on the assembly line. |
