I have been noticing on SST as well as on DFM, the limiter on the sound stream is really pulling back the audio when the music is on it's louder parts. I understand that in radio (streaming or otherwise) a compressor/limiter is used to keep the volume of the tracks consistent on the broadcast. However, I am noticing the music really draw back in some parts. I was listening to Still Alive (on the Orange Box ST) as I'm typing this and as soon as the chorus hit, the volume drew way back and muffled; a know effect of extreme limiting/compression and I really don't like the way it sounds. Maybe if the compression/limiting were lightened up a little bit, it wouldn't seem so drastic. IMHO, it hinders the quality of the music. Btw, I normally use the 64k AAC+ stream.

Thanks for hearing me Very Happy

I'm noticing that as a result of the aforementioned issue, on Star Wars IV- Return of the Jedi - Victory celebration / End title at around :30 - 1:00 remaining, the right side actually about cuts out while you're listening.
