I've been wondering if this is possible (requesting from Transformers a bit  ).
Nice, little "victory" of "David" (Transformers) over "Goliath" (Lord of the Rings) 
But I think it won't last long since The Lord of the Rings has many more tracks to request from and in fact is capable of regaining first spot easily (if only SSTers will request from it a bit).

I dunno if it's really David vs. Goliath. More like, "Goliath's runtier cousin who, despite not being as big as Goliath, is still a pretty scary guy and has been known to frighten sheep, make maidens swoon and also won a prize for best soundtrack" vs Goliath.
Now, if something like, I dunno, The Illusionist were to nab to top spot, that would be something.

Nice to know I love the top two competitors in this race, not sure who I want to win 
I honestly didn't know that either LOTR or Transformers was duking it out for top requests...I just request what I like and to heck with what everyone else is doing!

you know, i saw that the Transformers ost had high ratings/requests so i listened to it and didnt really find anything special about it.
It just seemed like the average sort of boring score that is expected in those types of movies, when comparing that to "the forbidden kingdom" which i thought was a really great ost with some great tracks on, it just seemed more original than the transformers ost.
Just my opinion, maybe i could give it another listen through.
Nothing beats bear mccreary for me, hands-down best ost, all seasons (espesh s2 and s3), cant wait for the 4th !! - its going to be a 2-disc set, one for the series finale (which had some amazing music) and another disc for the other eps in the 4th season really looking forward to that. |
