An interesting look at the man that is Vangelis, an interview about his work on 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Skip ahead to about three minutes in, the first part is just the lady talking about the music and movie. 3 minutes in you get the choir and a nice rendition of the Conquest Theme, then at about 3:45 you finally get Vangelis himself. A nice interview, never seen the man before!

More recently, goodness has he aged, Vangelis and his music for Alexander. It is amazing that he does it all on the keyboard...one man show.

While the comentary is all in Japanese (any one to translate??) There is a nice brief part where he talks about why he did the music and even more neat is him standing with all his keyboards composing the music...

Nice, thanks for the share! Hardly any new information (which isn't too surprising considering his stance towards interviews, I suppose), but a fine article.
