I liked the old school LunAr: The Silver Star and Eternal Blue clips. It was brand new to have the fmv inserts and I thought they were great. Very Happy

You're welcome Very Happy I also liked the stuff from "Three Dirty Dwarves"and the wonderfully amazing "Panzer Dragoon Saga" from the Sega Saturn, and the "Cinekills" from Eternal Champions on Sega CD. For that matter, all of the Working Designs games had great cinematics on the Sega CD....

I appreciated those links, delgadoii!

I've even actually seen some of those cutscenes and TV sopts, even though I haven't been in touch with gaming since, oh... Duke Nukem 3D.

Laughing

OK, this is going waaaayyyyy back, but...

Does anyone remember the original Ninja Gaiden, or at least as first released on the 8-bit Nintendo? I thought that game had incredible cut scenes. They'd probably be pretty lame by today's standards, but one in particular featured Ryu standing atop a cliff as the big boss's castle came into view. That scene gave me goosebumps back then.

So, am I alone in this?... Anyone?

Yeah I loved the Ninja Gaiden cut scenes. They really added to the story!! And, funny enough, those cut scenes had great music too lol

I agree totally about the Lunar series, especially the final sequence from Silver Star Story. Beautiful.

I also loved:

Yuna's "Sending Dance" from Final Fantasy X,

Bahamut vs. Alexander from Final Fantasy IX,

Any segment from Shadow of the Colossus (the whole thing was just epic),

The ending sequence to the original Xenosaga (a great action sequence),

and the opening sequence from the original Valkyrie Profile (beautiful hand drawn backgrounds).

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

All cinematics of Blur Studio are incredible, for example:

Warhammer Online
Tomb Raider Underworld
Tabula Rasa
MX vs. ATV Untamed
Transformers: The Game
Empire Earth III
Stuntman
A Gentleman’s Duel Teaser
The Simpsons Trailer
Coca Cola
Warhammer Fantasy
Hellgate: London
Halo Wars
NFL on FOX
Sonic: The Hedgehog
Gopher Broke Teaser
Marvel Ultimate Alliance

The best for me is Hellgate London

First off, Hello All. I'm new to the forums. Thought I'd sign up, being that I listen to to this streaming station all the time... Especially when I'm gaming.

As far as "best cinematic/s" goes... I've seen so many that have gotten me excited about playing a game I couldn't label one as the best, however, I think everyone should have a look at this link. Lienage Part 1 is the first part of Ubisoft's "short film" to serve as a prequel to Assassins Creed II... It is amazing to see the amount of time and money that was put into making these... Cinematics are not an easy thing to create... Granted, they are using a lot of real life acting, there is still a ton of animation, while the environment remains completely animated. Kind of feels like something Tim Burton would do.

Heu... Monkey Island, does that count? Smile
Ok, then all Blizzard Cinematics are huge, especially from Diablo II.
