Curse of the Golden Flower - Shigeru Umebayashi
I was going to pick a track from this album, but I just found out today that this soundtrack isn't included on the playlist, so I created this thread for your consideration.
This is the Amazon page of this album with music samples - Amazon
And some reviews of this soundtrack:
- Filmtracks
- GoldenScores
- Movie Music UK
- MundoBSO
- Scoremagacine
- SoundtrackNet

For some reason I thought SST already has that one... *shrug*.
Voted yes, I think the ST is quite nice.

Definitly, since I was at a Umebayashi concert last october it has become obvious for me that he is the upcoming Japanese Grandmaster for regular filmscores. His music has it's own signature and can stand easily on it's own.
Besides that he is a very friendly man who still has time for his fans.
Just like House of the Flying daggers this historical actionmovie has lots of tracks that combine eastern music with beautiful themes.
It would be fantastic to have a complete Umebayashi-library _________________

I thought that too.
Yes I know, but I didn't vote because my choice is implied as the original thread poster. |

But people may look at the results and not read the thread, so you should vote.
