I have an idea to add to the search function
You can now search by album, artist, genre and song title, but can there also be a search function added for country? If you want to see how many soundtracks we have in the request list from China or other countries it is hardly possible unless you know the composers or the movie title.
I wanted to see if we had any other kung fu movie soundtracks for example but couldn't find any cause I didn't know any composer or movie titles cept for the most popular ones.
I think this will make some searches a lot easier for some kinds of soundtracks

The biggest problem with suggestions like this are that we don't have the information in the database and there's no easy way to add it.

Ooh silly me, I thought that the country data was added. Sorry about this then, I thought that because we also add a country tag to any made album requests that we also had that added to any albums posted here, my bad then =)

It may be in there already. I'm not that familiar with the details of the database. If it's already there then this would be a great addition to the site.

Are we talking about the production country of the movie/tv series/game or of the score/ST album? They might be different... And there might be several countries, like Germany-France-Italy co-production of a German-language film etc.
I kind of doubt the information for the production country of the original movie etc. would easily be available for the score/ST album of the movie, and even the country of production for the album may not be there. Just my two cents worth... |
