I'd like to nominate
Valor And Triumph from IL - 2 Sturmovik by Jeremy Soule & Julian Soule.
This track really grabbed my attention the first time I heard it. It's a symphonic track and reminds me a bit of the score for the film Battle of Britain. Although I can't be sure because I've never played or watched anyone play this flight simulator/air battle game, I think it's heroic music would work really well with this type of game.

I like that track, too! It's quite pretty and it really stayed on my mind the first time I heard it. |

Reconciliation from Tellement Proches (Frederic Talgorn)
There's so little of the Talgorn score that made it on the cd release. The 14 min that did make it is pure bliss. |

Becoming a Dancer from Mao's Last Dancer
It has so many quality elements from Christopher Gordon's score including the mix of asian and western sounds. |
Another nod for the same. A lovely track!
I'll add a few more.
Pope Joan Suite from Pope Joan (Marcel Barsotti)
This is a lovely score. Heartfelt, religious and passionate. The suite is a nice summary of all the major themes. More people need to listen to this.
Humility and Love from Creation (Chris Young)
Wow! A beautiful summary to a very strong work. Take a bow Chris!
Ballet for Brawlers from The Red Canvas (James Peterson)
A modern take on Rozsa-driven aggression. Knockout! |
