Hey there!
I use Firefox for Linux (on an EEE PC netbook) and noticed that the SST site has been crashing my browser for the last day or so. I go to the site but I can't even stay on it until it loads, it just crashes. This has just been since yesterday (Tuesday the 19th).
Was something new added to the main page recently? (maybe there's an ad in rotation that's causing crashes?)
It's fine on Firefox for Windows, by the way. |

Thank you, Haino.
Limey, I doubt that the new, auto scrolling, "Recent Forums Activity" block can be causing this malfunction.
A very common cause of Linux FF crashes is Flash. We have a new block that is "played" by Flash: "News". It is a 3rd part block (personally, I don't lose my time with Flash).
So, I ask you to make a test: to disable Flash in your FF for a while to see whether SST pages work fine. _________________ I think I think, therefore I think I am. (Ambrose Bierce) |

Firefox under Linux is the only way I visit the site and I haven't seen any issues.
I'm running FF 3.6 RC2 and Shockwave Flash 10.0 r42

Ditto to limey's problem. I have an Asus EEEPC Netbook as well & ever since the other day when the "News" scroll was put on, I haven't been able to access SST on it. The second I try I get bounced off the internet. Never had this trouble here before. Everything is fine when I use my desktop Dell XP though. I hope I can fix it with Pesadelo's advice because many times I just like to sit in my comfy easy chair listening with my earphones. I will be majorly bummed if I can't get it to work on the netbook. |
