I just got back from Underworld. Saddly i missed the first 5-8 minutes of it because our dumb theatre messed up and switched the movies.

I thought It was pretty awsome. Not quite as good as I had hoped but entertaining non the less. Has anybody else seen it yet?

Was it as good as all the hype? I know it was made by the people who put out Matrix. And I don't know why but when i think Kate Beckinsale I think shy sweet ingeneux, not black leather dominatrix. In short, is it worth $5.50?

Well it's usually $7.00 here in Tulsa, OK. But since I'm a student I get tickets for $5.50

well, it wasn't made by the same people who put out matrix. It was a very low budget project. It is very hard to telll that it was low budget though. They spent 23 million making it. I would say that it is definatley worth 5.50.

I go to a sneak preview every tuesday, those are only 5 bucks. A normal ticket is around 6 or 7 bucks, depends on the time and day you are going.

hmmm yes its worth the ticket price. I enjoyed it alot, but I would give a good solid B. Essentially its a Romeo and Juliet story at its heart. My one complaint is that I never found myself really hooked into the emotions going on.

Goblin

P.S. Plus I have to admit I don't like Scott Speedman. Did anyone else think he looked Nightcrawler at the end? Very Happy

Yes he did a bit. I didn't mind Speedmen much, but I REALLY didn't like the head leader of the Vampires. Not the old guy, but the younger guy. He was not a good actor. Everybody else I thought did a good job.

For sure, it's different from her other movies! But she's great in vamp too Wink

The movie was awsome... the idea was somewhat original, although there's a game out there that has vampire vs wearwolves. nevertheless, the movie was very very entertaining.

I hope there's another one planned. By the looks of the ending there might be.

I saw this a few weeks ago. I had hoped that It would have been better than I was led to assume, but it was still good. I would have been happier if they would have developed it a little more.I felt that there were things that were left hanging and not enough was going on. They based the movie on more sepcial effects than anything else. Sad

I had pretty low expectations of this movie going in, but seeing Kate Beckinsale shooting down werewolves matrix-style was cool! I gotta say I liked this better than Van Helsing.

I also thought the werewolf vs. vampire war idea was clever, and the writing that explained the backstory of the head werewolf shifted my sympathies from the vampires to him.

Scott Speedman did a really boring acting job that didn't add much to the story. Don't know why they chose blue. Fun B movie with A looking production values.

Maybe it's clever... but the filmmakers swiped it from the well known "Vampire: Masquerade" series.

I never said the writers were original. It's only well known if you're a vampire-phile or gamer! Wink
