I have received anoher mail by the organizers. They are planning that the event will take place on more locations in the center of Krakau.
Also they said there will be soon a draft available of what we can expect at the event. They will send me a copy.
So I will look for a nice possible hotel where we could stay and when I received more info I will let you know.

My little suggestion for browsing hotel offers in Poland: http://www.travelpoland.com/
If one is sure to be in Poland for the gathering, one can get good hotel for a good price reservating it there (the catch is that often you must pay for the hotel in advance - at the moment of reservation - and you can loose part or all of that money if you won't show up at the hotel).
For example, this month, I spent two nights with my co-worker at Marriott Warsaw in two beds room paying around 70 USD (47 Euro) per night per person (breakfast included).
Edit: Hm... Looks like the prices shown at http://www.travelpoland.com/ are sometimes even lower than the prices for the same hotel at the Polish version of the very same web service (Polish version is here: http://www.hotele.pl/ )

Another spot to look for hotels is booking.com
This booking site doesn't include all, read cheapest, hotels but no advance payments are to be made.
But maybe if there are going to be talks with the organizing comittee they might even come up with some groupaccomodation offering.

Well I still can not go into details but I have received information from the festival office. They like the idea to give us 24Seven members some exclusive things. One of it can be a nice special prize for accomodation and some other things.
On february 18th there will be a press conference held with more details of the festivals
When I have mor info I will post it here.

I recently received a message from the Festival office. The Press conference has been moved to February 25th.
After that i can reveal more info and offer you some exclusives as well.

OK there suppossed to be a press conference two days ago, only at the moment I can not find it really happened.
I have information about the opportunity two win a meet and greet to two great composers for SST members who will be at the festival.
So soon there will be held a contest here as soon as I get confirmation from the Festival office to make it public here.

Just received an email from my contact of the festival office.
I can tell you 1 of the 2 composer who will be at the festival and where you can win a 'meet and greet'.
Soon the contest will be held, after approval of the festival office.

Now the official program has been released we can see the festival is until saturday 22nd and not 23rd which I received earlier from the festival office.

last week I met sirius, scorefreak and dutch.
we had dinner together and spoke about the travelingplans.
it looked like a mini gathering already!
I'm looking forward to fly to krakow with scorefreak.

As far as I know at this moment 5 members of SST will be in Krakow next month. These are dutchbat, girlfriend, molossus, scorefreak and me.
Most of us will got to 4 concerts and some will have a meet and greet with the composers Howard Shore and Shigeru Umeyabashi (the winners will be announced soon)
On thursdaymorning 10 am local time (so that will be 4 am SST time) I will have a meeting / open discussion with a group of speakers and journalists about Film Music on the internet. One of the speakers will be me and give a little presentation about SST. Maybe I will be online for a little moment and say Hi to you during my presentation.

On thursday evening we will go to the concert of music scored by Tan Dun & Leszek Możdżer conducted by Tan Dun.
Friday afternoon we will see Walt Disney - 'Tale as Old as Time' – music of Alan Menken and in the evening the concert of music scored by Shigeru Umebayashi conducted by Benjamin Wallfisch and special guest Shigeru Umebayashi
Saturday morning there will be the meet and greet with Shigeru Umebayashi and in the afternoon Howard Shore.
In the evening the third part of Lord Of The Rings will be shown with live orchestra conducted by Ludwig Wicki and special guest Howard Shore
On sunday at least these 5 SST members will join to do some sightseeing of Krakow.
If you are there too, just let me know and maybe we can meet you too.
