I know that the Holidays are a way's off but I thought I would post this anyways... Razz

So here's the thing. When I will be asked for gift Ideas from my loved ones, I would like to be prepared. I figure they could always get me a dvd. I like DVD'S that are worth owning. A video I can watch again and again and enjoy every time. So here is where you, my fellow movie and soundtrack pals come in. I would like some Ideas of DVD's that you think one should have in their collection.

Thank you for any ideas you can spare Wink

Just because i'm pretty sure noone will list any anime movies...here's my list...

Princess Mononoke
Laputa: Castle in the Sky

both of the above movies are must haves, the following are series that i believe everyone should have in their collections all have 26 eps per season except where noted and vary in cost but most can be purchased one disk at a time (in order of importance)

X
Irresponsible Captain Tylor (OAV and TV series (TV series is better))
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Rurouni Kenshin (all 96 eps worth)
Slayers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd seasons)

if you need help tracking any of these down for a good price let me know...i'll be more than happy to help you find the best deals on the net.

I could of course have mentioned several of the other DVDs on my shelf as well, but it'll be easier if you just take a look at it yourself:

Chandler's DVD collection

Thanks Lego, I tried to pick the movies that have the most replay value to them.

Nice list Chandler. Pick out the ones you can watch over and over and over and over and over.

The like this list. A point, however, that I need to make.

Chandler. Excellent list. Toy Story 1 & 2 were put back into the "Disney Vault" several months agao and will not be re-released for some 10 years. Finding DVD copies of those will be problematical at best. Rolling Eyes

As for my suggestions... (no I am not here just to whine) I have to include

Tron (special edition)
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Hunt for Red October
Batman (just the first one)
Rocky 1

Hope I could help. If not then I hope I caused confusion. Very Happy
