Don't know if it's the right place, but it could be a nice chance to arrange a mini-meeting...
Ennio Morricone will be back this year at the Arena di Verona on Saturday, September 11, conducting his best known movie scores.

That's awesome, Xalira! A Morricone concert in Italy would mean more selections from his favorites (and some obscurities) rather the popular and often performed themes. I wish I can see Ennio performing in Italy someday. For now I'll make do with the memories of the New York concert of 2007.
I have the Arena concert DVD of an earlier performance (2002/2003) and it's just fabulous. So you're going to have a wonderful time. I hope you will find other SSTers to join you! |

Great idea, why not have a second SST-meeting/European Gathering in Verona.
Maybe the people are willing to come to that one in contrary of the 1st. in krakow.
That one will however NOT have commemorative T-shirts 
Hope I can make it with the working period and the trip to LA.

Hi I'm new at SST and I'm happy to read that my favourite composer will perform once again at ARENA.
I was there on 2004 it was a fantastic performing of MAESTRO MORRICONE.
Good Idea to meet there this will be my first time.

Well Lonebiker I'm quite happy that you can be there too and we''ll have a chance to meet.
Girlfriend and I are planning of going there too for that weekend. And I'll be doing a meet and greet tour through Italy between the JW-concert in LA and the EM-concert in Verona.

Lonebiker, are you coming to the concert too or shall we meet some other place.
And if other people from italy are planning to come to the concert please let us know here on the forum. We can meet all together in Verona or, if not, maybe we can meet during my stay in Italy.

Girlfriend and I have two tickets on the numbered seats in the first ring. I had that place during last year's operafestival too and with cushions they are ok.
They have been sent over already and I got the hotel booked as well.
I will be arriving on sept.9 and Girlfriend flies in at friday sept.10.
I haven't heared of other people's plans yet.
