Any interest in this soundtrack getting included? Im a little amazed it hasnt been added, since its the movie was an Academy Award Winner.

Kork, dontcha know that we started the SST Awards because we no longer feel any other awards show gives the right nominations?
Chicago has already been discussed. The fact is people want scores. They already whine enough about the non-score stuff we have already. Although if Jeric REALLY liked Chicago I we may still see it added to the playlist. |

Well ok...but I notice that Music Man is there...a movie and a musical...maybe others. In anycase, it has some neat music on it.

I know.. people whine about alot of things. But Moulin Rouge is one of the most requested CDs here. Go figure. A musical soundtrack is a soundtrack. Guess Im just looking for consistency. If the "management" doesnt want it..well thats ok.
I saw they did a poll at one time on it. Do all the suggestions have a poll?

Flank!? Always thought of myself as more of a "head on" kind of guy.
Kork, you need to read the rest of the forum.
Or at least acknowledge that you haven't been around as long as some of us.
When Moulin was added a lot of people were peeved. The songs you hear "requested so often" are what's left after a compromise was made and some of the more annoying tracks were removed.
Since you're probably not going to bother hunting through the forum to educate yourself, I'll do a bit of edumacatin'for you here.
This station plays scores. That's our primary format: scores...Film Scores, TV Scores, and Video Game Scores. Anything else you hear on here is because a lot of listeners begged for it, (or Jeric personally liked it so much) that it ended up being added. |

Well I never have attempted to hide the fact I havent been around for years  So, yeah I dont go searching through the annals of the forums each time I post.
But you did ask us to post more often to the forum..and encourage all of us participate..and ask for new cuts and requests. So, Im just obliging.
Nuff said on the Chicago thing. |
