I tried to make it simple by putting examples (New Hope and Phantom Menace). Seems pretty clear to me. Anyways, I changed the title of the thread for people like who can figure it out for themselves but insist on pointing out semantics. _________________ Do you like soundtracks on vinyl? Every movie in the franchise is special to me in its own way. But I voted for Episodes 1-3 because they deserve more love than they get. _________________ "You have been chosen to represent Earth in Mortal Kombat. Be warned. It is hard to pick one. I like all of them. Watching the episodes IV, V, VI now you sometimes may laugh about the gadgets they have, but imagining to go back to the early 80s these movies were very nicely done. Compare it to now with new evolution of 3D filmmaking.
Episodes II was also just in a 'new age' where the movie was completely shot in digital format, that was the first high-profile, high-budget movie
So now I will vote for Episodes IV, V, VI, just because it has a more 'wow' effect on me back then. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

The second trilogy (IV, V, VI) clearly was the easiest to watch and attach to as the prequels were up against my wonderful recollections of the second trilogy. I, II, and III also suffer from ending on a down note, episode III is more like episode V from the second trilogy than episode VI. While everyone (except again my kids) knew that the first trilogy ends on a down note, that fore knowledge wasn't enough to engender the sympathy required to develop the blissful arc that IV, V, VI created. _________________ Warum bin ich ich und warum nicht du?

I have voted for part IV, V and VI.
Maybe the special effects where not that amazing
if you compare them with modern times, altough for that time they where spectacular.
But story was more full of love, passion and much more fun. _________________ "True friendship is sitting together in silence and feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had."
