I would like to go to Scottland in June 2011, maybe for 10 days.
Rent a place to stay and do daytrips from there.
Any ideas what the best location would be?
Edinburgh? Glasgow? The Highlands? Somewhere else?
Any ideas on what there is to do, outside of the usual travel guides?
Are you a Scottland insider who wants to help? Question

Although I have never been to Scotland, it is still on my list to make a tour there, besides the wonderful landscapes I like to see some distilleries. Scotland's smallest distillery is on my list: http://www.edradour.co.uk/main.html

My brother went there a long time ago and brought some of this whisky back. Very nice.
