Meh, haven't heard much of it to make a call. Musicals aren't really my fave type. I had to watch Oliver Twist once...

Just Bolero, most everything else is rather painful to the ears

Just shows you how different opinions can be. Moulin Rouge was the best movie I've seen in the past 10 years, and I adore all the songs. "Come What May" is fabulous, by far the best. Ewan's "Your Song" is so much better than Elton's, it makes me wonder how the original even became a hit. (And in general I don't like remakes, so that's saying something.) "Elephant Love Medley," "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectualar)," "Roxanne," "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend"...love 'em all.

But "Bolero"? What the heck is that? I've listened to the soundtrack hundreds of times, and I can't even tell you which of the filler songs that is.

Oh, well. I guess the soundtrack, like the movie itself, tends to polarize people: you either love it or hate it. Also, this seems to be a largely symphonic-score group, not really a musicals group, so that could also account for the difference in taste. Please understand I'm not attacking anyone's opinions; I just had to defend my favorite movie, that's all. Smile Signing out for now...

Bolero is the track playing at the end titles. (And yes, it's really good too.)

I think the Elephant Love melody, One day I'll fly away and Lady Marmalade are my favourites. (That's in the order I like as well aren't I so organised!) Cool

My favorite MR track has got to be "Come What May". It's a really nice and soothing song... and it offers a great sing-a-long when I'm driving alone in my car Smile

I've heard more than one person say that you either hate this movie or you love it. I am in the former category, not the latter.

However, the music is ok, but seems to me to be very over orchestrated to the point of being obnoxious. I love "Come what May" but because they over orchestrate it, which takes away from its purity.

I was amazed at Nicole Kidman's voice, but then I remember what they can do in audio tracks and wonder if thats really her pure voice, and not electronically enhanced. I've never seen her sing that song outside the movie. Ewen McGregor's voice is good, but again, a bit overpowering.

Just my opinion. My wife and daughter loved the movie and I hated it...so there ya go...Life isnt always easy Smile
