I am thinking of doing a blog post or blog series on strange things in Hollywood movies. Things that just do not seem to belong or leave you thinking "why? what was that for?"

I am going to start with an example from Knowing, a poor end of the world flick that included the following scene

a flaming moose? seriously? I can see the director at a design or production meeting demanding that the film include a flaming moose and to spare no expense getting it on the screen. "No it is ok, take the fx money you need from the plane crash and give me a really awesome flaming moose!" "well just stick it in there someplace. I do not care! the movie just must have a flaming moose!" "Do it or you are all fired!"

"OK boss one moose en fuego coming right up!"
