As already stated in a facebook posting:
During the 3rd European Gathering highly acclaimed composer and Kraków-native Abel Korzeniowski ( A single man, Copernicus' star, W.E.) has stated that there will be a concert from his music as well. I hope to get confirmation from FMF soon and that it will be possible to have a meet & greet with him.
At the 4th European Gathering during the Fimucité 6 in Tenerife the emphesis of the program will lay on Italian Filmmusic.
Slogan of our gathering will be: FUN,SUN AND FILMMUSIC
what more you need for a good vacation. _________________

Not part of the world tour but already stated on FB:
I'm planning to join the Harry Gregson-Williams concert in Dallas, TX on Apr,15-16.
Are there any other SST-members who want to go and meet me there? _________________

Not part of the world tour either but part of my presentational work for SST was the Gala of Filmmusic and the International Filmmusic Symposium in Vienna this week.
On tuesday, Bruce Broughton and Alan Silvestri gave a lecture about their work and gave examples how such proces develops. This was very interesting. The rest of the week gave two more networking opportunities which was very fruitful for SST.
Last night, Friday, was the Galaconcert, so all dressed up for the occasion I went to the cocktailparty in the Grand Hotel where I was able to have a talk with Bruce Broughton about SST, which he found very interesting and as he is connected to the organizing comittee further contact shall be maintained.
Furthermore is here the programme of the concert if you want to play it for yourself or req. from it on SST.

- ET-the extra-terrestrial Suite for Harp and Orchestra (world premiere)

People,
I taped the concert on ORF2 - I have the file here and already talked to Dutch about making DVD-R copies. Maybe someone has another idea how to share it? Its almost 1 GB large.
After seeing it - to be honest it almost made me cry, especially the Contact part in the Silvestri Medley was... well, to cry for. This must have been an great, great, great evening and I can't believe I missed it. Absolutely fantastic.
If possible, please share more Photos/Videos on Facebook. |

Sorry, Leina and Dutch, but I'm not sure that taping the concert wasn't legal. Distributing copies probably wouldn't be, so I'd not discuss it any further here. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

I guess what's exactly legal and what's not can depend on which country we talk about, Lady. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Since it was a TV broadcast, it's most likely a bit different. For instance linking youtube-Videos of it would most likely fall under the fair use law. Also as long as the copies are for private purposes only (so if you didn't sell them), there should actually be no problem...
Of course the recorded experience is way different from the one you have as a live audience member
I haven't seen the footage yet, but I'm sure it's still as good as the live experience Dutchbat and I had there _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

I knew we would have a legal/illegal discussion here I basically agree with bpewien - I would not sell them and only give it away privately. It's like making a copy of a videotape for a friend - nobody said anything about that 15 years ago.
So we have three options now:
1. Upload on Youtube, splitting it up, possibility of it being deleted due to copyright.
2. Making individual DVDs for everyone who's interested, but those would have to pay for shipping
3. Upload on a fileshare server online (caution, these are not illegal) - but I would need a payed account since the file is about 1 GB large. I haven't tried this out before, maybe someone else knows more. _________________ "If it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space." - Ted Arroway (Contact) |

About 1:30 h - I'm trying to upload it right now. I will tell you tomorrow if it worked or give you a link to try it out. Or maybe we should do it privately, everyone who's interested sends me a PM and I send the link. _________________ "If it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space." - Ted Arroway (Contact) |
